Policies and Programs that Promote Fuel-Efficient Transportation

This survey explores the range of policies and programs available to public sector decision makers to maximize the efficiency of the transportation networks in their jurisdiction. The policies and programs fall into two broad categories: those focused on vehicle efficiency, and those that address urban systems and transportation infrastructure. The survey identifies 50 case studies of policies or programs that have successfully improved transportation efficiency.
