ST-4.3 Electric and Hybrid-Electric Vehicles

The Chevy Volt is unique among electric vehicles because it uses two sources of energy: a 16–kWh, T–shaped lithium–ion battery that allows an EPA–estimated 56.3 kilometers (35 miles) gas-free, and an onboard gas generator that allows the car to drive up to a total of 603.5 kilometers (375 miles) on a single full tank of gas.

The VOLT is built to sync with the OnStar RemoteLink™ mobile app, allowing owners to check their car’s battery level and charge mode–120V or 240V–from anywhere. The app also enables  charge scheduling, and alerts owners when there is a charge interruption.
