SG-2.2 Smart Grid Demonstration Projects

Leonics has designed this hybrid solar system to generate electricity, which combines diesel generator with PV array to power minigrid and operates with Hybrid System Control Command Unit (HCCU) and Telemonitoring for remote power monitoring and control, which can display real-time and event log data for tracking and analyzing the system operation and efficiency any time at any place via www.leonics-moc.com.

200 kWp PV – Diesel Generator Hybrid Minigrid System has been installed at Banggi Island, the biggest island of Sabah, Malaysia to apply to generate electricity for Main Malaysian energy provider – Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB). This hybrid solar system is regarded as the largest hybrid power system in Malaysia, which is used for village electrification to power 7 remote area villages in Banggi Island.
