Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) is the Department of Energy’s largest science and energy laboratory, the nation’s largest concentration of open source materials research, the world’s most powerful open scientific computing facility, with the nation’s most diverse energy portfolio.

As part of its Sustainable Campus Initiative, ORNL is developing smart grid principles on its campus – monitoring, analysis, load as a resource, renewables integration.
